"It is extremely rare......"

It is extremely rare to hear of a "6 " point stableford score on a hole,
so when we get news of one it is certainly worth reporting. How can
you score 6 stableford points on a hole, well ask Karen Walsh. Karen
performed this rare feat when she scored a "two" on the par 4, 4th on
Wednesday evening in the popular "AA Caddy Competition".
A gross "eagle" with 2 handicap strokes received gave Karen a mind
blowing 6 points. Karen went on to win the 12 hole competition with an
amazing 30 points, and receiving a handicap "cut" of 16 shots in the
process. Well done Karen, keep that swing going!

If you haven't yet played in the "AA Caddy" why don't you give it a
try. It is run every Wednesday throughout the summer months. It is
open to all members with a handicap. You can play at any time during
the day, just turn up and register in the pro shop it costs only £2 to
enter. Hot refreshments are usually available in the evening and a
good atmosphere prevails. Cuts are made to handicaps that are
relevant to future participation in this competition only.

"A Perry Double"
We have got used to young Jake Perry's name appearing in the prize
winners and Sunday's May Medal was no exception. Jake won Div'n 2
with a nett 67 and with it the prestigious EGU Gold Medal that was up
for grabs for the best nett score of the day.

Not to be out done, Granddad, Steve Perry won the Seniors May
Medal, on Tuesday, with a nett 69, including an 8 on the 18th.
(Can any one find out what diet these Perry's are on!!). Well done to
both of you.

"First Ace of the Season"
For those that have not already heard, Andre Kulp scored the first hole
in one of the season last week. His first ever "ace" came at the par 3,
12th using a nine iron. For those that played with him in Spain on the
Captains weekend a couple of years ago "he really isn't that bad after
all". Well done Andre hope there are more to come!
